There are times, though rarely, when a theme might have a limitation, usually related to accessing templates, demo content, or additional services that require direct API access or a monthly subscription on the developer’s website.
 
Unfortunately, unless you purchase directly from the developer, any theme that requires direct API access to the developer’s server to download templates, demo content or other assets, will be unavailable.
 
As for the theme itself, it will be completely functional, with the exception of templates, demo content or other assets.
 
A majority of themes do not impose API restrictions and we try to provide a notice for the ones that do. Unfortunately, we do not have the manpower to physically test every single theme, so your help is definitely welcome in finding unknown limitations.
 
When a limitation is brought to light, we do everything we can to develop a workaround. Sometimes it’s possible, sometimes it’s not. We then add a disclaimer to the theme in question, noting the issue.
